Before taking a rental boat out on the water, it's important to understand the rules of the Bonaire National Marine Park (BNMP) as well as knowing our own safety guidelines.

For a safe day on the water
To protect nature and prevent accidents, these prohibitions are in place:
❌ Do not dive with bottles from a rental boat
❌ The boat do not get stranded on the beach
❌ The boat do not attach to scaffolding or hotels not intended for that purpose
❌ No access to private marinas unless pre-arranged
❌ No alcohol or drugs for the driver of the boat
Enjoyment on board is allowed, but the captain remains sober.
That way you know exactly where you stand before you leave.
When the weather turns
Bonaire's weather is usually stable, but boating can be unsafe in extremely high winds or thunderstorms.

No. Diving with bottles from a rental boat is not allowed.
Snorkeling is allowed, provided everyone has a valid STINAPA tag and you respect the rules of the marine park.
No. The driver of the boat stays the entire trip completely sober. Alcohol and drugs for the captain are prohibited.
